OUR STORY

DoanTrang and Danny met the modern way: when Danny gave a thumbsup on DoanTrang’s photo (swoon!) in late 2014. They had been hanging out and friends for more than a year before Danny officially asked DoanTrang be his girlfriend at National Harbor, in November 2015 and they have been together ever since.

DoanTrang and Danny have been sharing lot of favorite memories from their time together: Danny’s first time traveling to Vietnam, road-trip to Toronto, annual NYE’s countdown, annual volunteering for dental Mission of Mercy, multiple trips to the west coast, Field of Light at Sensorio, Tijuana walking tour, Danny’s 4-hour-driving every other week to see DoanTrang and lots of mini trips around NEPA during her residency.

Danny got down on one knee and proposed to DoanTrang during their trip to celebrate their sixth anniversary as a couple, under the magical light show tunnel at Longwood Gardens. Needless to say, DoanTrang said yes.

We are so excited to celebrate with you at our wedding ceremony and reception in October of 2022!

Maid of Honor

Quynh Nhu Ha

We met each other through a friend during our UMBC years. Bonding over our mutual love for Đà Lạt - her hometown and my favorite corner in this world, our conversation can be hours long.  Before she found her prince charming, chị Trang and I used to have this little tradition of getting Bonchon and watching a random late-night movie on Christmas eve together.

Bridesmaid

Yukting Lau

I met DoanTrang at dental school and we had been through four years of blood, sweat and tears together. I always admire how DoanTrang can stay so calm during the chaos in school. DoanTrang has amazed me with different perspectives and thoughts. I am honored to be her bridesmaid to celebrate this special day of her life. I wish DoanTrang and Danny long lives of health and happiness.

Bridesmaid

Thuy Linh Vo

I currently live in Richmond, VA and I deal drugs to a bunch of needy man for a living. I also really love food and travel. Trang and I are from the same hometown back in Vietnam and we have so many friends in common.  But the funny thing is we only met each other through a group on Facebook.  She is one of the nicest, hardworking and most easy-going person I know.

Bridesmaid

Nancy Trang

I enjoy hiking, exploring new places, and eating. Doan Trang and I are good friends from dental school. I am super happy for Doan Trang and Danny!!

Best Man

Danny and I have been friends since the 7th grade. I even followed his lead to go to the University at Buffalo together, it's just that I graduated before he did. Many basketball, ping pong and pool matches later, Danny still hasn't beat me once yet. The most memorable moment must be the time when he ended up half naked half tattooed in the tub at my bachelor's party. I knew he found the one when he stopped coming back to NYC for the holidays!

Groomsman

Huy ( Jason) Lam

Danny met my resume before I met him in person for the first time.  No, he did not interview me. His teammate had asked him to guess my nationality. He was just confused since he had not got exposed to Vietnamese culture at that time. After participating in several K.D. events such as hiking, biking, bowling, and snowboarding, Danny is well versed in the Vietnamese community here. Trang must have been very special as he quitted bartending after they started dating.

Groomsman

Duc Nguyen

I loved traveling around the world, but then I had to spend countless steamy days and nights with Danny in unreachable dungeons.  At least Danny DJ random Vietnamese music lightened up the tense environment.

I cannot believe Danny gave me a cold shoulder for the Dr. Strange movie invitation just because he did not want to skip a nightly chat with Trang.

Groomsman

Kenny Ngo

Lover of roses. Tamer of muscadines.  Danny has not known it yet, I am expanding my farming acreage by letting him plant the peach tree in his backyard.

OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA

Old Town is the heart of Alexandria and nationally designated historic district on the Potomac River waterfront. The King Street Mile and surrounding brick-lined sidewalks are studded with centuries-old architecture, historic attractions and independent businesses.

You can take a ride on the free King Street Trolley, or enjoy a sightseeing cruise or water taxi into D.C. or cruise to George Washington’s Mount Vernon and National Harbor.
